Take workplace learning beyond the office through outdoor challenges, team games and real-life problem-solving activities designed to strengthen communication, leadership, teamwork and decision-making.
Coordinate under pressure
Work through real challenges
Generate better solutions together
This programme uses experiential, game-based outdoor activities to develop practical workplace competencies. Participants learn by doing, reflecting and adjusting as a team.
The value is not the outdoor activity itself. It is what participants learn about how they communicate, lead, negotiate, solve problems and manage priorities together.
Give clear instructions, listen actively and coordinate during shared tasks.
Work through competing priorities and different viewpoints to reach decisions.
Analyse unfamiliar challenges, test ideas and adapt when the first solution fails.
Improve roles, steps and resource use after reviewing what slowed the team down.
Generate alternatives and experiment with different approaches.
Manage time, responsibilities and sequencing under pressure.
Practise leading, supporting, delegating and contributing effectively.
The activity is not the training. The learning comes from the facilitated debrief and the transfer back to workplace behaviour.
Teams receive a practical task with constraints, objectives and limited resources.
Participants communicate, allocate roles and solve problems together.
The facilitator reviews what worked, what failed and how the team behaved.
Activities can vary by venue and group, but each should target a defined workplace capability.
Complete a task where information must be shared accurately across the team.
Reach an objective with limited materials, forcing prioritisation and negotiation.
Rotate leadership roles to expose different decision and communication styles.
Work through physical and mental challenges under time pressure.
Repeat a task after reflection and redesign the process to improve performance.
Plan, allocate roles and execute a multi-step task with shared accountability.
The biggest outbound-training mistake is treating the activity as the objective.
A fun day outdoors is not automatically team development. The activity must be designed around behaviour and properly debriefed.
